Green policy

about-us1

deepeei film productions is aware that as a company which works around the world, our job has an impact on the environment. We are committed to minimise our negative impacts and acting in a sustainable way.

By knowing this we have taken steps to reduce this impact and encourage our customers to do so as well.

Waste Reduction:

We try to eliminate waste at the source and some of the ways we do this includes:

  • The use of electronic communications – unless our customers request otherwise we send all our quotes, invoices and other communications via email. This saves on both paper and also carbon miles for postage.
  • It is company policy that any document that does need to be printed is done where possible in draft format to use as little ink as possible.

Recycling:

We recycle whenever possible.

  • We recycle as much as possible when it comes to glass, batteries, paper etc.

Purchasing:

Like all companies our purchasing decisions are influenced by cost, however this is by no means our only consideration, and we make a conscious effort to ensure we are buying from sustainable sources, which are local if possible.

  • All the paper we use comes from FSC sources.
  • Wherever possible we try and purchase goods and services locally, to help the local economy and to reduce carbon miles.

Travel:

We have undertaken a commitment to make our travel as green as possible:

  • Whenever possible we will work from home, with team meetings taking place via audio conferencing.
  • When travel is required we use public transport in the form of buses or trains whenever possible.
  • For our worldwide filming we have to travel a lot. All CO2 emissions are financially compensated with Green seats.

Energy Usage:

  • We use green energy sources. This is another way we try to minimalise our carbon footprint.
  • Our data center is hosted with green energy.

Housing:

  • We are based in the Vliegbasis de Huygens in Amsterdam. This rebuilt school building is very energy conscious and environmental friendly. The building received a second place prize at the Amsterdam Green Building contest in 2008.
